SUMMER TRIPS & PROJECTS
Summer time with Hope Global is a special time where the kids have different opportunities to get outdoors, try new things, and give back to their community. During the summer, the Hope Center was open with limited hours and remained a place where kids and youth could come to enjoy fun in a safe environment. However, there were also unique opportunities to take some of the Hope Center students on trips, outings, and service projects.
Some of the opportunities included pool days, tie-dye crafts, making and painting clay art, outdoor wilderness adventures, roller skating, and much more. There was also a chance to have a “Girls Night” were some of the middle school girls were able to get dressed up and enjoy some fun and fancy time dedicated to celebrating themselves as smart, beautiful, and valuable women.
In addition to fun trips and activities, there were also multiple service projects that provided the youth the opportunity to give back. These types of projects are extremely important to Hope Global’s vision of empowering children, youth and adults to become agents of positive change in their community. We want to foster the idea that everyone is responsible to give back when they can to help those who need it. That is how HOPE can truly inspire true positive generational change.
By doing life together, these outings help to build connections and true relationships. In addition, they grow and nurture different skills, self-confidence, team cooperation, problem solving, and other useful tools that help equip the students to develop for themselves the solutions they need for the challenges they face.
