GETTING GLOBAL AT THE HOPE CENTER

Before the end of the school year and the start of a summer packed with adventure, we decided to spend a few weeks getting global at the Hope Center. We chose specific countries that our staff members had personally traveled to in order to be able to share firsthand experiences with our students. We “traveled” to Thailand, India, Jamaica, and Nicaragua and the students enjoyed learning about each new place. During each week, we spent time having staff share stories and facts about the country they had experienced and students were able to see souvenirs, pictures, and videos of real moments in each country. It was inspiring for the students to learn about different places, cultures, and people from someone who personally went there, making it much more tangible. After story time, students had themed art projects, games, and even got to try authentic food for snack time. It was definitely a time full of new experiences and information for the kids and they jumped into it with enthusiasm and excitement. Check out some pictures below to see some of the fun moments we had traveling the globe at the Hope Center together!

Learning Together

You never know what can inspire someone. It can be a story, a picture, or even a meal. What we do know is that spending time together, learning new things, and sharing and creating stories is how to INSPIRE, EQUIP, & EMPOWER the next generation. A picture is worth a thousand words and sharing a story can change someones life.
