Fifth Annual Easter Fest
Children, volunteers, and community leaders gathered together for the 5th annual Easter Fest at the local CEC building and it was the best one yet. Being able to gather with the community for food, fun, games and the annual egg hunts is always an enjoyable and inspiring event. However, this year was made extra special because it was the first Easter Fest since the opening of the Hope Center. Over the past few months we have been able to get to know the children and other members of the community on a more personal level. Building these relationships and recognizing the children and their parents from more than just casual events made this years Easter Fest a reunion full of fellowship. Our goal for the Easter Fest has always been to provide an opportunity for community members to meet, volunteer, and most of all be inspired and empowered through the fun, love, and overall hope that grows throughout their community. This year we were able to see these dreams and hopes come to fruition from the recognizable interactions of everyone involved. It was a reunion of friends while also being an opportunity to meet new people and spread the word that there is hope alive and well in the community for all who need it. The kids had a great time hunting over 5000 eggs, jumping on the slides donated by Alston Event Rentals, eating good food, dancing to music, and even getting to enjoy ice cream donated by Foundation Church. We were so grateful to be joined by so many including Reborn, and other local volunteers. We plan to continue this event for years to come and host other similar events throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who makes it possible and if you would like to be involved next year please contact us through out volunteer page!
