FUN ALL SUMMER LONG
Summer 2025 has continued to be a great time spending time outdoors together and having special days at The Hope Center. We love summer break and getting to spend extra time with our kids doing fun projects, meeting new people, and enjoying doing life together. Summer went by fast, but we enjoyed every minute of it.
Pool Days
There is something special about summer days spent by the pool. Every summer we try and spend as much time as we can outdoors and pool days are a great way to beat the heat while enjoying the sun. Days by the pool are a lot of fun and provide great opportunities to spend time together outside our routine environment. This creates a relaxing atmosphere that encourages bonding and good conversations. Another wonderful aspect of the pool is the opportunity to teach a new life skill. Many of our students cannot swim, and every summer we help numerous students practice and gain the confidence to enjoy the water. There is nothing like seeing a kid jump in and swim across the pool for their very first time.
Block Parties
The Hope Center is always in full swing during summer break and one of our favorite traditions are our Summer Block Parties. Every summer, churches and members of our community partner with us to provide awesome days at The Hope Center. These block parties include water slides, fun art projects, basketballs tournaments, and always some extra special food the students love. These events are an opportunity for members of the community to spend time with our students and give back in a direct and impactful way. Our students look forward to them and we are always grateful for each partner that makes these events possible. This summer Church of the Highlands and Newnan City Church helped us host our two biggest block parties and we appreciate every volunteer, staff member, and partner that helped make these events EPIC.
