FALL, ART, & FOOTBALL
The leaves have been changing, the weather is getting cooler, and fall is officially upon us. We have been enjoying this new season with days at The Hope Center playing outside, working on new art projects, and keeping a focus on school.
Football Season
This fall we are continuing our Mentorship Program with a focus on athletes who want to dream big and challenge themselves. This is a very empowering and productive time for students who are working hard to keep their grades up, be involved in sports or school clubs, and come to The Hope Center. We have multiple students in our program that are playing football in middle and high school. We also have students who are working just as hard on the cheer squad. This season we’ve been able to enjoy 10 football games together. Sports not only keep kids physically active, it helps teach discipline, commitment, and team work. It is important for our students to see that we support them and are here to cheer them on and recognize their hard work. We have enjoyed this season and our proud of our players!
Art & More At The Hope Center
The Art Program is always a fun time at The Hope Center, and this season we decided to try a new project for outdoor gardens. We had a special girls night were we worked on a yard fairytale garden. It was a fun new project which allowed students to work on individual aspects of a project that game together as a group effort. They had a great time and were very proud of the end result.
Throughout the school year we also strive to help students with homework and making sure they are setup for success in school. Along with outdoor therapy trips, this fall is continuing to be a really great season. Thank you all for your continued support and helping us do life together with our students to INSPIRE, EQUIP, and EMPOWER!
