Summer is a time when regular schedules give way to opportunities for special fun and time to connect with people in different ways. Our Hope Center Block Parties are one of our favorite traditions during summer break. Different organizations and groups sponsor each block party which allows people to get involved and meet our students. Creating space and time for volunteers, kids, parents and other members of the community to come together is a vital part of strengthening relationships and creating a sense of pride in the neighborhood. Slipping slides, grilling out, games and more is what make these events fun for everyone and the proof is in the smiles.
