Spring Break Adventures
Spring Break was full of ADVENTURE and getting OUTSIDE, two of our favorite things! Spring is all about the outdoors and experiencing the rejuvenation of fresh air and the blooming season. We were able to take different groups on new adventures and enjoy spending time together during the school break.
Boys in Blue Ridge
The grandest adventure for Spring Break 2026 was the boys trip to Blue Ridge, Georgia. 8 young men from our mentorship program worked hard choosing the destination and planning all the details of the trip themselves. They were given a budget and timeline and the rest of the details were up to them. It was a great lesson in life-skills and how to execute the details and timing for an awesome adventure. Together they hiked mountains, discovered waterfalls, and experienced the clarity, peace and other benefits of outdoor therapy. After spending each day outdoors, they were able to relax at the cabin and have “real talk” conversations together. These trips create deeper bonds, break down barriers, and allow for inspiring moments that lead to life altering mindsets.
Girls Day Outdoors
What is better than a girls day outdoors ? High School girls in our mentorship program were able to spend the day hiking, exploring, and resting by the flowing water in the beautiful sunshine. It was physically challenging, but mentally inspiring. One girl expressed, “Being outside always helps my anger issues. It is like all the problems I have just disappear for a little bit and I can just sit and have a moment of peace.” It was a beautiful day spent reflecting, laughing, and finding moments of peace together.
Zoo Day Adventure
Spring break ended with a fun day at the Georgia Untamed Zoo! The kids were able to spend the day outdoors feeding, seeing, and interacting with exotic animals for an amazing up-close experience. The day ended with a beautiful walk through a trail in the woods were everyone was able to wind down and relax in nature. You can tell from all the smiles that the day was a huge success and and inspiring adventure!
